Bhutan Treks
Experience Bhutan’s Pristine Nature Up-Close
Bhutan Travel Bureau’s range of Bhutan treks are one of the most exhilarating and unforgettable ways to experience the heart and soul of the Kingdom of Bhutan. With much of the kingdom covered with ancient forests and high alpine meadows, trekking in Bhutan will not only bring you closer to nature but provide you with ample opportunities to meet rural people.
Treks range from short programs passing through villages, picturesque forests, meadows and streams such as the ‘Bumthang Cultural Trek’ to short, low altitude programs with easy walking such as the popular ‘Druk Path Trek’, and on to more difficult and arduous physical challenges, such as the famous ‘Snowman Trek’. You will be accompanied by a local trekking guide, cook, camp hand and horsemen who look after the yaks and ponies that transport your luggage and camping gear. The crew take care of all the camp chores and the cook will provide you with delicious, wholesome food. The best months for trekking are March to May and September to November.
To enhance your Bhutan trek why not consider adding on a specialised activity including rafting, birding and meditation as featured on our Speciality Tours page, a unique Bhutan festival tour or one of our many Value-Added Options to provide an more in-depth experience of Bhutanese culture.
