Amankora Luxury Lodges
Combining ‘aman’, the Sanskrit word for ‘peace’ and ‘kora’ meaning ‘circular pilgrimage’ in Dzongkha, the Bhutanese language, Amankora is a series of small, luxurious 5 star lodges are situated in picturesque, spectacular locations throughout Bhutan’s western and central valleys. Wood-panelled guest suites feature a combined lounge and bedroom furnished with a king-size bed and a traditional bukhari (wood-burning stove). Lodge amenities include fitness centre, spa/steam rooms and a yoga/mediation room. Amankora’s Spa offers a range of traditional plant and herb-based therapies treatments. The Spa’s rooms is scented with cedarwood, the traditional remedy for respiratory, skin and arthritic conditions.
Six Senses Bhutan
The five, newly opened, boutique Six Senses Bhutan lodges, located in Paro, Thimphu, Punakha, Gangtey and Bumthang, have been thoughtfully designed to fully immerse travellers in the Kingdom of Bhutan’s natural beauty and culture, offering a contemporary take on traditional Bhutanese architecture and form. The lodges, which vary in style from valley to valley, showcase the diversity and special character of each location. Each elegant room features over-sized decks and large, floor-to-ceiling windows to ensure all views are uninterrupted, ranging from 1 to 3 bedroom suites. They also offer spa and wellness facilities ranging from hot-stone baths in Thimphu and Bumthang and a pyramid meditation room and swedana treatment at Gangtey, to a heated outdoor pool at Punakha or treatment in a spa room overlooking the ruins in Paro.
COMO Uma Paro
Built by classically trained Bhutanese artisans, COMO Uma Paro is infused with modernism’s clean lines whilst maintaining the feel of a Bhutanese village set in a pine forest on the cliffs above. It is located amongst 38 private acres overlooking Paro, and features 29 beautifully appointed rooms and suites rooms combining the colourful accents of traditional Bhutanese craftsmanship with clean-lined contemporary design. COMO Uma Punakha
COMO Uma Punakha is an intimate, luxury lodge situated on a bend along the Mo Chu River, shrouded in the alpine stillness of the Punakha Valley. Zhiwa Ling Hotel, Paro

Bhutan Suites
This boutique hotel, located in Thimphu, Bhutan, is tucked away from noisy city traffic below 12th century Changangkha Lhakhang with wonderful, sweeping views of the Thimphu Valley. Tenzinling is an intimate, family run resort. Located in a strategic location it gives a bird-eye full view of the Paro valley with a spectacular Paro Dzong in the background. All the 21 rooms have been oriented to give the view of the Dzong. Built in the ancestral land, the resort is surrounded by a small village amidst apple orchards, and rice fields. Facilities at this hotel include a restaurant, a bar and a bakery. It’s location is ideal for exploring the many sites of Paro Valley, with walking and cycling paths situated close by.
Tashi Namgay Resort

Metta Resort and Spa
Metta Resort is nestled amongst the lush green hills of Paro nearby a local village. The Resort is built in the traditional style of cottages with a touch of contemporary style. PUNAKHA/WANGDUE
Hotel Lobesa
A relatively new hotel, Hotel Lobesa offers comfortable and spacious room, reminiscent of the unique charm of boutique hotels. Most rooms have balconies overlooking the lush and verdant fields and valleys of the region. All rooms have ensuite bathroom, Wi-Fi, and cable TV. Hotel Lobesa also houses a restaurant where guests can sample traditional Bhutanese and international cuisine. This hotel is building a very good reputation as having amongst some of the best service in the country.
Punatshangchhu Cottage
Punatshangchu Cottage is conveniently located with pleasant views of the Punatshangchhu River and the villages of Wangdue. The hotel features traditional Bhutanese architecture as its external structure and modern well appointed rooms and facilities inside. 22 well appointed hotel rooms, housed in two separate buildings are spacious, aew elegantly furnished and have attached bathrooms. The restaurant serving Indian, Chinese, Bhutanese cuisine.
Hotel Zangto Pelri
Perched serenely atop a hillock overlooking Punakha Valley, Hotel Zangto Pelri blends Bhutanese tradition with modern comfort. Hotel Meri Phuensum
Situated high above the Punakha Valley, this hotel has wonderful views overlooking the rice terraces and river below. From the main reception there are pathways leading to the traditionally structured cottages which lie in clearings among the pine trees. Each cottage is simple in decor but cosy, tastefully furnished and has its own private balcony. It has a large dining area and bar serving Indian, Chinese, Continental and Bhutanese cuisine and range of international and local beverages. There is also a small and nice sit-out porch with gardens and flowering plants.
Dragon Nest
Located 3 km from Wangduephodrang and 15 km from Punakha, Dragon’s Nest is situated on the banks of the Punatsangchhu river. Refurbished in 2007, the resort offers a total of 17 rooms, with a balcony overlooking a breathtaking view of the river, the village and the Wangdue Dzong.

Dewachen Hotel
Encircled by pine forests in the hidden valley of Phobjikha, the Dewachen Hotel features 16 spacious and charming double rooms built in the traditional Bhutanese architectural style each with a modern bathroom with shower and heavenly bedding comforts. Yangkhil Resort

Puenzhi Guest House
Puenzi Guesthouse is located 2 kms outside of Trongsa town on a steep slope. It features 32 rooms with attached bathroom and stunning balcony views of the Trongsa Dzong, the Ta Dzong Museum, and the deep valley of Mangde Chhu, and is surrounded by the Black Mountain range. It has a restaurant, and a pathway leading directly to the Dzong and the Ta Dzong Museum.

Rinchenling Lodge
Rinchenling Lodge is a family run hotel offering 38 spacious rooms with wood burning stoves for added comfort, large beds, ensuite bathroom, and a restaurant featuring delicious home cooked cuisine, and a beautiful garden. The water in the hotel is directly sourced from a local spring. It also features traditional hot stone bath that is mixed with a fusion of local herb. You can walk to the famous landmarks in Bumthang like Jambay Lhakhang and Kurjey Lhakhang from the hotel.
Mountain Resort

Wangduechholing Lodge
Nestled picturesquely on a hilltop facing Chamkhar Chu (river), this charming family run lodge provides panoramic vistas. It features comfortable rooms decorated in a traditional style. All 35 rooms are well furnished with attached bathroom, a balcony to enjoy the stunning view of the surrounding valley and mountains, and traditional ‘Bukhari’ heating. The restaurant offers Indian, Chinese and Bhutanese cuisine and bar has the selection of international and Bhutanese beverages.
Swiss Guest House
This hotel is the oldest guest house in Bumthang, and is located amongst a pretty apple orchard on a ridge on the edge of Jakar overlooking the Chamkhar Chu, Jakar Dzong and the valley. The 10 wood panelled, double rooms are charming and comfortable, paneled in wood with attach bath and nice shower fittings. The food in the restaurant of Swiss Guest House is known to be one of the finest in Bumthang, with its specialty being dishes of Switzerland.
Gongkhar Lodge
26 large wood paneled rooms with a sitting area, king-sized beds, wood stove, private bathroom as well as bedspreads and drapes of traditional Bhutanese fabric.The restaurant offers delicious cuisine including local Bumthang favourites, bar, mini-library and Wi-Fi in public areas. It also features beautiful views of the valley and the Dzong.
