An outstanding cultural experience - beginning with the meeting with his Holiness Khamtrul Rinpoche on our arrival in Thimphu, our visit to the hospital in Punakha, our visit & demonstration at your sister's home in Lobesa, and the local school all added to the uniqueness of this itinerary. We came away feeling we had had a privileged experience in Bhutan that most other travelers may never have known. The Festivals, particularly the last one in Chuhume was great. Without all the tourists and a more natural setting, we were able to appreciate the whole experience. Attending any Buddhist Ceremony was important for all of us, as it added to our appreciation of the religion.
