Where do I collect my Drukair Tickets?
You can collect your air tickets from the Druk air counter when you depart for Bhutan. For all travellers entering Bhutan by Druk Air, your visa clearance number is forwarded to all concerned overseas Druk Air stations prior to your arrival. For added piece of mind, we can courier your Druk Air ticket and visa clearance information to you prior to your departure for a small fee.

Valid passports and an entry visa are essential. Your visa clearance is organised when booking your trip to Bhutan, and is issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Thimphu. Payment for your visa is included in your tour payment. Your visa must be obtained before departing for Bhutan as Druk Air tickets cannot be purchased without visa clearance. At your port of entry to Bhutan, either Paro if entering by air or Phuentsholing by road, your visa will be endorsed and stamped into your passport. You will be required to have two passport sized photos. Currently, no foreign embassy's or missions abroad issue Bhutan tourists visas. Travelers to Bhutan are permitted only as a member of a commercially organized tour group such as BTB.
Extension of visas, for up to 6 months, can be obtained in Thimphu at a cost of Nu. 510.

The international Tourist
Tariff in Bhutan is determined by the Royal Government of Bhutan.
This rate is the same for all visitors, and is standard across
all tour operators in Bhutan. It includes all accommodation
(the premium resorts of AmanKora, Uma and Zhiwa Ling excluded),
visa fee, full board (all meals), all overland transport, transfer
and sightseeing within Bhutan, a professional tour guide, a
uniformed driver, and supply of yaks and ponies on treks.
The package price does not include airfare and airport taxes (current airfare visit: ), room supplement charges, bar and laundry, travel insurance, and sleeping bags while going on trek and other personal expenses.
The tariff is an instrumental part of the Royal Government's cautious approach to the development of tourism in Bhutan. Furthermore, a portion of the fee, currently 35%, goes to the government and helps to sustain the provision of free medical care and education for all Bhutanese citizens. This kind of tax is also one of the main sources of foreign exchange for the Royal Government of Bhutan, in the absence of indirect taxes of tourist services such as value-added tax or sales tax.
PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL RATES, SURCHARGES AND DISCOUNTS ARE SET BY THE GOVERNMENT OF BHUTAN, AND ARE THE SAME FOR ALL OPERATORS IN BHUTAN.
*Note: Tariffs do not cover accommodation in resorts such as Aman Kora, Uma Paro and Whiwa Ling. Staying in such accommodations will attract a much higher nightly rate.
For a list of our tour and trek itineraries and their prices, please .
*In comparison to U.S. hotel standards, 99% of all hotels in Bhutan fall in the 2.5 - 4 star category. We pride ourselves on having relationships with the best and most hospitable.
