Founded in 1991, Bhutan Travel Bureau is one of Bhutan's largest inbound tour operators. Popularly known by the abbreviation 'BTB', the company specialises in the selling of independent and group packages to Bhutan. As one of the most experienced and pioneering tourism companies in the kingdom, Bhutan Travel Bureau is the flagship of BTB Group, also comprising of independent entities Bhutan Construction, Bhutan Concrete Bricks and Bhutan Trading.

BTB also incorporates a Travel Agency / Ticketing Unit that provides outbound travel services catering largely to Government and Business/Corporate travellers. BTB is managed by Mr. Samdrup Norbu (Managing Director), Mr. Tshering Tashi (Executive Director), Mr. L.B. Gurung (Agency General Manager) and Mr. Chorten Namgay (Operations Manager). They are assisted by experienced staff with high levels of industry experience.

Our tour and trek leaders and guides (certified by the Tourism Authority of Bhutan) have been carefully selected for their courtesy, resourcefulness (very necessary along the treks) and knowledge of Bhutanese history and culture. BTB has an assorted and comfortable fleet of contemporary vehicles from Toyota Coaster Buses (able to seat 16-20 ppl) to luxury Toyota Land Cruiser GX & Toyota Land Cruiser Prado SUV's. Other vehicles include Toyota Hi-ace Vans, Toyota Hilux and Suzuki Vitara, as well as Hyundai vehicles such as Santa Fe, Tucson and Terracan. Recently, we replaced the seats in our two Toyota Hi-Ace vans with extremely comfortable reclining leather seats.
