Witness history in the making as Bhutan celebrates the coronation of their fifth King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck. A 3 day celebration includes a ‘Tashi Khadar’ ceremony and public speech by his Majesty the King, diverse entertainment, traditional games and competitions, and special exhibitions marking 100 years of monarchy in Bhutan. This event will be followed by a Royal Heritage tour visiting fortresses, palaces, museums and sacred sites. In Bumthang you will also attend the Jambay Lhakhang Drup Festival featuring costumed dances. |
